Royal LePage Commercial celebrates incredible first year

New partnerships and sophisticated professional development resources key to keep the momentum going

TORONTO, April 11, 2013 - Royal LePage Commercial is pleased to celebrate the one year anniversary of the re-launch of the brand. The first year in business has been marked by many successes, including growth of the network that vastly exceeded expectations. The company’s long history in the commercial real estate sector and its comprehensive suite of resources for its dedicated commercial practitioners have been essential pieces contributing to the company’s growth and success.

The strength of the company centres on a commercial network that can be found in both large and small communities across Canada.  Contrary to the “glass and steel” model where players concentrate their services in larger, urban centres, Royal LePage’s commercial niche is in the mid-market segment where 85 per cent of commercial transactions occur.  This necessitates national representation in smaller markets as well as the urban centres.

Royal LePage Commercial recently announced the hiring of Lucie Piazza, a seasoned commercial real estate professional, to fill the role of Program Manager.  Piazza’s mandate is to support and continue to grow the company’s network of commercial real estate professionals. She will continue to build out Royal LePage’s commercial offering through 2013 to include more networking events, new business tools, expanded brand building and marketing tools, and additional avenues for professional development.

“I intend to use feedback surveys and be in close contact with our practitioners so I can support them and give them the tools they need to ensure the company continues to build on our positive first year,” said Piazza. “Ensuring we meet the on-going needs of our commercial network will be essential to our continued growth and success.”

To offer additional support to the network, Royal LePage Commercial has established a partnership with Investit Software Inc., which will give the network access to Investit’s real estate analysis software, Investit Pro, as well as a suite of learning tools to help agents deliver exceptional client service. Investit Software is a Canadian company based in Vancouver, founded by Neil Osborne, who is well-established in the commercial real estate industry and is a seasoned educator.
